Common questions
How do I play the athan on my speaker?
Create a Flow that starts with a UAE Athan prayer time card, then add your audio device's play-from-URL card and put the "Athan audio URL" tag in it. The app doesn't stream audio itself; it provides the link.
Do I need to adjust prayer times manually?
No. The app stores the coming days' times and refreshes them automatically. If the connection drops, it keeps working from the stored times.
Which areas are supported?
Thirteen cities and areas inside the UAE, listed above. On install the app suggests the area nearest to your Homey's location, and you can change it in the app settings.
Where do the prayer times come from?
Dubai City, Rural areas of Dubai and Hatta use a perpetual calendar table derived from published IACAD calendars. Jumeirapps calculates the other ten areas with a method developed and calibrated for the UAE; these times are not an official table, and the app says so on its prayer times screen. UAE Athan is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (AWQAF) or the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD).
How do I contact support?
Use the contact form on the Jumeirapps website, or email support@jumeirapps.com. Include your area and what happened so we can help quickly.
